Morningside supplies for aid relief
Over 2008 and 2009, Morningside continues to make a number of shipments for aid agencies worldwide. This included a consignment of 10 x 40ft HC containers of Cotton Wool to Zimbabwe in October 2008, numerous shipments to European based NGOs as well as dispatches of pharmaceuticals and medical devices under long-term contracts. In May 2009, Morningside reacted quickly to meet urgent pharmaceutical requirements resulting from the H1N1 “Swine Flu” outbreak.

Morningside awarded NHS Contract
In December 2008, Morningside was awarded a contract with NHS PASA for delivery to Hospital Trusts within England in 2009 and 2010. Working with national distributors, Morningside’s products will be delivered directly to healthcare professionals within a maximum of 2 days from order. Morningside constantly reviews stock holding to ensure that the demands of the NHS under these contracts can be met.

Continued compliance to international quality standards
After annual re-audit by UK notified Body BSI, Morningside continues to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 based on a sound Quality Management System. In addition, Morningside has GMP and GDP compliance in line with MHRA UK requirements.

Expansion of UK warehousing
In August 2007, Morningside has completed the purchase of an additional 600m² of warehousing next to our current premises in Loughborough, Leicestershire. This additional warehousing allows us to increase our stockholding in UK.
This facility will have coated floors and walls for a clean environment as well as heating and air-cooling systems to maintain the appropriate conditions for storage of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 Certification
We are delighted to announce that Morningside has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 certification based on a sound and tested Quality Management System. The audit and registration has been completed by the highly recognized UKAS accredited auditors BSI, UK.
For many years Morningside has worked to high standards with strict procedures and processes in place and already hold a Good Distribution Practice (GDP) License from Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency, UK.
The intensive audit covered inspection and verification of procedures, records and other documentation as well as interviews of employees to ensure our Quality Management System meets the international standards of ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management) and ISO 13485:2003 (Quality Management for Medical Devices).

Exporter of the Year 2006
We are proud to announce that Morningside has been successfully named as Exporter of the Year 2006 in the Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
At a black tie award ceremony on 21 September 2006, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, David Griffiths presented Morningside with the award. The award criteria covered trend of profit and turnover, corporate objectives and strategy, impact on the local community, research and progression into new markets, strategy for dealing with export challenges and future objectives.
