Howzat! LCCC Medical Centre Partnership continues

Howzat! LCCC Medical Centre Partnership continuesA partnership between Leicestershire County Cricket Club and Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd is to continue following the renewal of naming rights for the Morningside Medical Centre at the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road. Since 2016 the Morningside Medical Centre has provided treatment facilities during matchdays, as well as for the local community. The medical centre, in the lower meet, provides Leicestershire County Cricket Club players with state-of-the-art match preparation and rehabilitation support from injuries. The medical centre has a space for a private treatment room, an open plan treatment area and an adjoining trauma room which doubles as a crowd medical facility for use by St John’s Ambulance on match days. Leicestershire County Cricket Club Chief Executive Wasim Khan MBE said: “Prior to the creation of the Morningside Medical Centre we had to treat players and visitors off-site. This was not ideal as you have to act quickly if someone becomes seriously ill and requires urgent medical treatment. “The Morningside Medical Centre is an important part of our new set-up here at the club. We’re delighted to work in partnership with Morningside Pharmaceuticals to be able to offer expert medical support to our players, visitors and the local community.” Dr Nik Kotecha OBE, who is Chief Executive of Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd, has been a keen supporter of LCCC for many years. Dr Kotecha is an active member of the club, supporting the LCCC’s Commercial Advisory Group, which provides business advice to help the club continue to grow and develop new opportunities. “I feel passionately about bringing communities together and making lives healthier,” said Dr Kotecha. “We are proud to support LCCC and their work in going into the community and local schools to encourage sport and diversity within sport, which has inspired 20,000 children as part of their extensive schools programme. “This is an important part of our ethos at Morningside and our sponsorship of the Morningside Medical Centre will ensure that everyone visiting Grace Road will have access to emergency treatment on-site in a modern fully equipped medical facility.” Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd is a manufacturer, wholesaler and exporter of medicines, supplying the global market with a wide range of pharmaceutical and healthcare products. The company constantly strives to provide safe, cost effective healthcare to improve the standard of living in the UK and the many international markets they serve. Their aim throughout is customer satisfaction, achieved through core values of Quality, Affordability, Customer Care, Choice, Accessibility, Partnership, Responsibility.

Morningside Donates Furniture to Help Save Lives

Morningside Donates Furniture to Help Save LivesThe British Heart Foundation is calling on more businesses to donate unwanted office furniture following a donation by Morningside Pharmaceuticals. The appeal comes after we made contact and donated a number of high quality office items. Sharon Tracey, Office Manager for the British Heart Foundation in the Market Place, said: “I would like to call on local businesses to consider donating their furniture, as the money we raise goes directly to research into heart disease, care, equipment and after care. “We regularly ring local businesses to see if they have anything to donate, so it was great that Morningside took the initiative and contacted us about their unwanted office furniture. It’s good quality and will really help our cause.” Businesses wishing to donate their furniture should make contact with the charity, which will then arrange for it to be collected free of charge. Morningside’s donation included desk pedestals, filing cabinets and shelving. Dr Nik Kotecha OBE, Chief Executive of Morningside, said: “We pride ourselves on supporting local causes and were delighted that the British Heart Foundation felt that our furniture donation would help raise money for their life-saving work.” If your business would like to make a donation to the British Heart Foundation call 01509 268 205.
