Morningside Pharmaceuticals were once again very proud to be a Headline Sponsor of the East Midlands Chamber’s Cultures & Communities event.

The amazing evening celebrated equality, diversity and inclusion at the Leicester Tigers Stadium, which was attended by a packed audience from across the region.

As a business which is working with communities to bring them together and improving the quality of life of the people living there, we were thrilled to show our support for this landmark cultural event, which highlights the huge benefits our multi-cultural communities bring to the East Midlands.

The night featured a terrific choral performance by children from Richardson Endowed Primary School, before speeches from each of the three headline sponsors, as well as traditional Indian dancing performances.

Morningside’s Chairman, Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL, delivered a rousing speech which highlighted the 50th anniversary of the Ugandan Asian Refugee Crisis, and the parallels with the plight of Ukrainian refugees today.

After each speech every sponsor gave away a recognition award, with Morningside presenting the Excellence in Equality category.

A great evening of celebration of the region’s rich cultures, and in particular our unique equality, diversity and inclusivity.

 

Wear it red they said? And that’s what the Morningside Team did . . all in the name of being a little bit wacky to support the excellent work of Comic Relief.

Thank you to all of Morningside’s colleagues for supporting the Red Nose Day theme, and giving so generously to the charity’s amazing work.

For those who don’t know about Comic Relief’s inspiring mission, it is to help people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination. This includes funding organisations that are supporting people affected by the War in Ukraine.

Congratulations to all of the incredible winners at the national GG2 Leadership & Diversity Awards 2022, where we  proudly sponsored the Outstanding Achievement in Science category.

The annual ceremony honours thought leaders in diversity and inclusion from the worlds of medicine, the arts, law and the uniformed services, as well as those achieving great things through entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

Today is Employee Appreciation Day, which is an excellent opportunity to thank all of our amazing people for their hard work, dedication and overall contribution to the great work taking place at Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

At Morningside we believe our people are our greatest asset, so as a small token of our appreciation ‘DONUTS’ were provided for all colleagues at our Loughborough HQ.
